Omar brings over 32 years of human resource leadership experience, including nearly three decades in the oil and gas and engineering sectors with leading organisations such as PETRONAS, Chevron (Caltex), Halliburton Asia, Sapura Energy, and MISC Berhad.
He has led strategic HR functions across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas, with expertise spanning leadership development, workforce transformation, industrial relations, and organisational restructuring.
Omar holds a Master of Human Resources from Open University Malaysia and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of the Pacific, USA. He is HRDF-certified and trained in various global assessment and profiling tools including PAPI, DISC, Harrison Innerview, and SHL.
A sought-after facilitator, Omar has spoken at regional HR conferences and delivered training at institutions such as MMU, UKM, UiTM, and UTM. His areas of training include performance management, competency-based interviewing, change leadership, stress management, and team development.
