ZASMAN ASNA, SENIOR COMMUNICATIONS CONSULTANT
Zasman brings nearly three decades of diverse experience in strategic communications across public, media, and NGO sectors. After earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), he embarked on his career by establishing and leading the PR unit for the Labuan Development Authority, promoting Labuan as a prime destination for tourists and businesses within the BIMP-EAGA region.
His journey through communications has seen him play pivotal roles, including Press Secretary to the Chief Minister of Penang, Acting Head of Communications for Rapid Penang, and Head of Strategic Communications for the Northern Corridor Implementation Authority. Zasman has also held significant positions at Media Prima Berhad as General Manager of Group Corporate Communications, and as Director of Communications at the Economic Planning Unit of the Prime Minister’s Department, demonstrating his leadership in managing high-stakes communications strategies.
Zasman’s expertise covers a broad spectrum of communications disciplines including crisis management, stakeholder engagement, and corporate social responsibility. His career highlights feature leading Media Prima’s humanitarian efforts against COVID-19 and enhancing government communications through specially tailored media clinics. Zasman’s extensive background in communications positions him as a key asset in driving strategic initiatives at FineTouch.
